There are three Dhurba Squares in the Kathmandu Valley: Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur. All three of them are World Heritage Sites for good reason. Continuing my theme of 30 second videos – here’s a quick glimpse of the amazing Kathmandu Dhurba Square:

Thanks so much for sharing this! I was wondering what is the reason for all the newspapers all over that board and why was the man with the mask so gently lifting a page? Is this how they receive their news?

That’s a good question. I was wondering the same when I saw them, which is why I filmed it. There were no papers on sale and it looked like a public service to share the news. Newspapers are the main way people get the news here. Perhaps it was NGO sponsored, but I didn’t see a sign.
