Wonderful Caroline! I am excited to read more about your experience on your blog. I did see the one about how much fruit costs. Is it more than the US? I feel like good produce is outrageous here. Nicole

Local fruit is pretty reasonable and good. Imported stuff not so much. I remember laying down about $60 at a wonderful farmers market in DC a while ago and nearly having a heart attack when I realized how much I had spent on a few things. But the stuff was really good quality in comparison to the expensive, low grade produce that gets imported here. Its all part of the expat experience!
